The Mid Calder 2000's were the recipients of a generous donation totalling £200 and this was all thanks to a parent who put his body on line when he took part in (and completed) the Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday 31st May. The hot weather along with the theft of several thousand water bottles didn't help the runners, but our game parent made it all the way around and kindly donated his funds to the 2000's. This money, along with a donation from Scotland Gas Networks has enabled the 2000's to purchase a new kit to worn on away days
and they have gone for something a bit different with an all green kit winning the day as shown below. The 2000's are not the only one's taking a plunge in the fashion stakes, as the second 1999s enter the league in August 2009 and have chosen a Nike version of the traditional red \ black combination as their kit for the coming season. Thanks are due to Blackhorse Finance who donated the 1999s kit and who will be their shirt sponsor for the duration. |
