Since the soccer school kicked off at the beginning of september, it has proved to be a very successful thing to do. While we are still developing the way that the school will work, the current crop of kids (mainly Mid Calder P2s) are enjoying themselves and developing their football skills as well as having a good bit of fun along the way. 

As it seems to be here to stay, the club looked at ways to fund much needed equipment and kit........   

........and thanks to a parent suggestion we applied to the HBOS foundation for a donation and were delighted to be the recipients of a healthy cheque which will now allow us to buy balls, bibs, cones, goals and loads more besides. The Club, and more specificially, the soccer school coaches are delighted with this donation and and wish to express our sincere thanks to all the people invovled in obtaining this - it really will go a long way to helping the school develop.

A 'thank you' letter and 'friendship' pennant is winging it's way to HBOS HQ as I type.
